MILLENNIAL REVOLUTIONARIES of Salmon Arm

TeenAgers in a
subUrban Jungle
walked down a
Wide and
Empty Street
to a Shabby House
rented by a
Drug Dealer
where they
smoked Dope on
Sagging Couches
surrounded by Potted Plants and
Weight-Lifting Equipment

The Girls with their
Plastic Earrings
got up and
danced a Little

and then the TeenAgers
started talking
about Things they didn't like
and how to change the World

No More these Houses
said a Girl

Boom

Boom

Boom

One just like the Other

No More this Sprawl
said a Boy

No More Restaurants made out of Plastic

What should we do about it?

A Stunt or

Public Statement?

Should we bomb SomeThing?

Are we Bombers?

Why do we hate the World so Much?

Why are we unHappy with what our Parents
gave us?

What was it
they compromised?

Beauty!

Beauty!

cried the Girls

for the Sake of Efficiency and Profit!

Communism failed too

said a Boy

What should we do to replace it?

What Ideals won’t drown in
Practicality?

After that
 of Course
 as the
Smoke settled
on the
Drug Dealer's
Apartment
with its Potted Plants
and its Grey Carpets
and its Weight Lifting Equipment

noOne could think of AnyThing
to say

not that Day
anyway
